Died: 8th May 2007
Died because of a heart condition.

Daughter of: Matthew and Susan Thompson
Sister of: Dylan, Harry and Nathan Thompson.
Loved and missed by all.

When i found out i was pregnant again i was over the moon. We went for the routine scan and were not surprised when the doctor said... " It's twins". We had Dylan and Harry in June 2003 and were trying for a little brother or sister for them. We did not want to know the sex of the twins until they were born but we were secretly hoping for a little girl as we already had 2 boys.

Maddison and Nathan were born on the 2nd of June 2005 and i finally had the little girl that i had always dreamed of.

In February 2007 after a year and a half of having 4 very active children to look after Maddison became very quiet. We took her to the doctors on the 16th February 2007 and all he could tell us was that she had a "stomach upset". we took it that he knew what was best and she seemed to get better. She developed the same symptoms again about a month later so again we took her to the doctor who told us to go to A&I. We waited her 3 and a half hours only to be told that it was another stomach upset and it would go away within a week or so. But on the 30th April she took a turn for the worse and was taken into A&I. Here they did lots of tests and whilst i was waiting in the waiting room. Matthew took the boys to their grandad's house. Luckily it was not long before he got back and about 10 minutes later the doctor came in.

His first words we "I am so sorry" and i just broke down in tears. i just couldn't listen to the rest. He told us that Maddison had a heart condition and she didn't have long left. Then came the doctors next words " Her brother will have to be tested for the same thing, as they were twins. Luckily 2 days later the results were back and Nathan was in the clear. i don't know what we would have done if he had the same condition.

Maddison spent the rest of her life in hospital and after a week of suffering she passed away with me, her dad and three brothers around her.

i just wish they had done the tests earlier, they said they could not have done anything about it but at least we would have bben prepared for her death.

Maddison we miss you so much the house is not the same without you i miss doing your hair and all the pink clothes that i had to iron and toys i had to pick up. You were my long and awaited for little girl. God wanted a beautiful angel so he picked you.

your brothers miss you you were their little sister and Nathan misses you the most he keeps on saying "Where maddie gone?" with his puzzled little face. You had almost two wonderful years with your brothers. your birthday wont be the same without you but we have to be strong because it is Nathan's 2nd Birthday.

We wish we could have had more time with you.
